Chris OShea
Manufacturing Draftsman
Welcome
Thank you for taking the time to consider me as an option for your organization. It is my hope that after exploring my content you are convinced of the value that I will add to your team.

I have been immersed in the residential construction and manufacturing industries for most of my life. My dad had a small woodworking shop and the fresh smell of wood that came out of the basement when he was cutting material for his next project made it impossible for me to resist. Having immediate access to his shop and tools coupled with my natural skills as a craftsman motivated me to pursue a career in the residential trade. As a young adult I worked for several restoration, framing and remodeling companies and each employment afforded me the ability to refine my skills as well as gain invaluable knowledge of the residential and commercial marketplace.
After decades of applying my knowledge and skill to home demolition, construction and renovation I decided to turn my attention to building within the office environment. For over six years I have been applying my knowledge and understanding of the home construction and remodeling process to my current position as a production draftsman at a custom cabinet company. With persistence, precision and pride I have completed my projects as though I were the customer.
My real-world experience in residential construction combined with my dedication to completing my tasks with the high standards that I set for myself are the keys to my success. If you are looking for someone who takes ownership of his projects, who works tirelessly and with an unwavering attention to quality and detail and who exudes positivity in the workplace then look no further. You will not be disappointed. Thanks for your time and I look forward to meeting you.

Sincerely,
Chris OShea

Testimonials
"It has been my pleasure to work closely with Chris Oshea over several years, on many high dollar cabinetry projects, and enjoy his remarkable attention to detail and well thought out plans. He always tries to think of the end users, and what they will need. He is one of the best Draftsman I have ever worked with. I know that when I am working on one of Chris's projects, that they will be accurate, detailed, and full of quality. He is a tireless worker and would be a very positive addition to any firm or team. I would jump at any chance I could get to work with him."
– Mark Kyner (Project Manager at Cabinet Shop)

I have not come across a more technically proficient and detail-oriented individual than Chris. He is able to process the most demanding concepts, and backs this up with ability to communicate and come up with effective solutions with his team. I highly recommend Chris to any organization that needs to pair technical acumen with an open and approachable personality."
– Kenny Jolley (Drafting Department Manager at Cabinet Shop)

"I have had the pleasure of working with Chris on many unique and challenging projects. He was always able to clarify any questions I may have, explain in detail any potential issues, and offer suggestions that maintained the design intent. In addition to being a highly skilled engineer he exceeds expectations when it comes to communicating throughout the job and meeting deadlines. His attention to detail has given us the most beautiful end product we could hope for. I highly recommend partnering with Chris on any future projects."
– Amanda Gates (Sales Representative at Cabinet Shop)

“I have been working in the cabinetry industry for more than 13 years and have worked at many shops along the way. During the time I worked with Chris, I always hoped he would be assigned to engineer my jobs because he was simply the best at engineering. Chris would consistently go above and beyond the expectations and catch details that I hadn’t even thought of. He didn’t work just to get a job completed, he worked hard to achieve excellence. Somehow Chris managed to do this in a very high-pressure environment that wasn’t organized or focused on teamwork, so he clearly stood out. He would consistently present potential issues or questions in an organized and timely fashion and more importantly in a way that fostered teamwork. Chris has the mind that can live in many worlds at one time which allowed him to excel at engineering while considering design, real world functionality, ordering, fabrication, assembly, delivery, and installation. This is a very rare trait, and it was even rarer to have this talented of a person have actual experience building and installing. His attention to detail was incredible and his work ethic is un-surpassed with such a goal-oriented and friendly demeanor. I personally couldn’t recommend anyone more.”
– Tyler Galaska (Cabinet Designer)

I had the privilege of working with Chris Oshea for many years at a custom cabinetry production facility. Chris was a draftsperson there and as a manager, I was very lucky to have him as a resource. Chris is incredibly detailed in how he approaches his work. He leaves no stone unturned when finding solutions to problems that may arise while drafting complicated cabinetry orders. He clearly cares about the quality of his work. I learned a lot from him which helped me improve company policies and processes within my departments.
I kind of felt bad for the guy as I and others would constantly interrupt him for advice and assistance on orders. He has a wealth of knowledge in that head of his and everyone knows it. Somehow after assisting us with our inquiries, he could dive right back into work and get things done. I wish I could do that!
Something that some people do not know is that Chris has actual production and building experience firsthand. He has worked in that capacity and is a perfectionist in the best way possible.
I think that this is what makes him so good at what he does. He works to involve himself completely in the work he does. He is aggressively seeking additional experience and knowledge in all he does.
Anyone would be lucky to have him be part of their team.
